Planning a small, intimate wedding with a sophisticated flair in New York City?

You’re in the right spot—we’d love to assist you!

As a seasoned wedding and portrait photographer living in the NYC Metro Area for over 20 years, I appreciate the charm of micro weddings. They highlight simplicity, personal connections, and unique experiences. Micro weddings prioritize quality over quantity, reduce stress, and foster meaningful interactions.

These smaller celebrations also offer cost savings and allow couples to savor every moment. They are perfect for those looking for an authentic and luxurious experience with their nearest and dearest. Photographing New York City elopements and Central Park ceremonies is one of my passions!

How to Get the Most out of Your New York City Elopement or Micro Wedding Photography?

If you're aiming to elevate your role to ART DIRECTOR for your Central Park Wedding,

let me share some cool tips with you to have beautiful photographs.

1-Choose Your Central Park Locations - A few of my favorites to browse, based on your group size:

There are also cool spots with a spectacular view of the City on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River ,

For example Weehawken,NJ     *****PHOTO

2-Decide your timing wisely.

Ceremony time should be chosen based on your wedding day timeline.

If it happens to be at or around noon , a location with a gazebo, or totally at shade will be a better choice. For your Bride & Groom Portraits it is always more flattering if it is close to golden hour.

3-Choose your Music

No amplified sound, only acoustic music is permitted in Central Park.

Music Sets the tone, Live music always creates a lovely mood.

We love to share our resources.

4-Invest into your Flowers

At Central Park Weddings, banners or signs, flowers, décor, baloons affixed to Park property or trees are not allowed, Cleanup is required.; the venue should be in the same condition as it was before the event. But There is something magical that real flowers can bring to your photos. Since you're already saving money on skipping the big wedding, I definitely recommend investing in centerpieces for dinner or at least a bouquet and boutonnière.

You can preserve your flowers or press them as a keepsake afterwards!

5-Chose A Dress that you can move in + an attitude of flexibility

If you're really excited to get the candid shots, it can help if you don't feel stiff in your attire. I know most wedding dresses aren't designed for comfort, but it can really help us get those artistic photos. That being said, I've also had brides with incredibly precarious dresses that were able to laugh and find ways to move, even in the tight dress. So sometimes, just an attitude that you can move around holds more weight than the actual style of your dress.

6-Find a Dramatic veil

When you have a long flowy veil, there are so many more possibilities for epic photos. The way the camera catches the movement of the fabric can really enhance your photos. You can find inexpensive veil online if you are on a tight budget and the longer the better! I wish every bride brought a veil for at least a few photos. The nice thing is that as soon as it gets overwhelming , we can take it off.

7-Come into your shoot excited to create Art

Magical things happen and that also shines through in the pictures. Once you hire us, Trust us, be open-minded, try silly poses, take off your shoes, and lay in the wildflowers. The best photos come when clients feel good with their photographer and work together as a team to get the best photos possible.

And also mindful and low-stress day is very important. Because On Your Wedding day, we capture love, connection, intimacy, joy, bliss, authenticity, closeness, affection, and happiness.

I write this to bring awareness to the fact that it will be a big day, with complex emotions and a lot of moving parts. I write this to bring awareness to the fact that having some kind of self-care routine or plan on your wedding day could be a really good idea.

Visualize what you want to remember from your wedding and how you want to feel.

And You should know we are all here to support you. Let us help, delegate tasks to your friends.

8- Think of a Wedding Coordinator

If your wedding has more than 4 guests, dedicate a person as a coordinator, or hire one.

We help that person to coordinate all your vendors.
